2015 Annie B’s Community Drive
First I want to say thank you to each one of you that gave during the Annie B’S Drive. Bridging the Gap by Giving (BTG) was given $15,222. There is much going on in the Water World and because of this BTG will have a good chance of receiving some matches. We will be keeping you posted about how the money is used. At this time, I would like to share some breaking news about something that BTG will be participating in:
NEW YORK, NY (September 30, 2015) —One of the Sustainable Development Goals finalized at the recent United Nations General Assembly was universal access to safe water by the year 2030.
World Vision announced a commitment to help reach that goal through a massive expansion of its clean water program, along with a significant private donation to help realize the goal.
Your gift replaced dirty drinking water with clean drinking water. You are making a difference for good!
7th Annual walk4water
1,325 Africans will receive clean water, sanitation, and training in hygiene.
$12,000 will be given to four International Partners: Lifewater International, TivaWater, Water Africa (including a $5,000 match), and World Vision. The Walk4Water season generated $53,000.
Over 100 volunteers, 39 corporate sponsors and 23 friends gave of their time or finances to make the event happen.
Around 500 walkers became more grateful for all that we have!
look at what we did together
Our theme for the year has been a quote from Helen Keller: “Alone I can do so little; together we can do so much.” We as a team raised $87,000 and gave 2,177 Africans clean water, sanitation, and training in hygiene. You have been an answer to many Africans’ prayers and have brought health to many.
