2014 Annie B’s Community Drive

Many people were inspired to give during the Annie B’s Drive. BTG received over $9,000 from years past. The increase in funds was due to generous donors and many shoppers. BTG Market was able to donate $6,000 during Annie B’s.

$10,000 was directed to a borehole in Uganda, $6,000 helped to complete the borehole for the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Clinic in Nigeria, $4,000 went to water harvesting for  schools in Uganda, and the remaining will be used for Bio-sand filters.

8th annual appreciation dinner

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”  -Helen Keller.

Shirley had fun greeting the families that volunteer, give, and live out this quote by their dedication to raising awareness and providing clean water to our thirsty world. Our hope was that everyone knew that they made a difference for good.  Over 17,000 Africans have received clean water, sanitation, and training in hygiene.  For many it was the first time to eat goat stew, a favorite in Africa.

6th annual walk4water

The community of Chico and friends worked together to make the day perfect. Our theme for our W4W Season was a quote from Helen Keller. “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Over a hundred volunteers prepared the course so that walkers could get a feel of what it would be like to walk for water instead of turning on the tap. Generous walkers, corporate sponsors, and friends made it possible to give $36,000 to our thirsty world. Four of our partners, Destiny Women, Lifewater International, Seeds of Hope, and World Vision received $9,000 each. World Vision will match their donation, bringing the total to $45,000. Lifewater International is working on a match. 1,285 Africans will receive clean water, sanitation, and training in hygiene.
