The legacy of Slater & Son began over 65 years ago. In 1948, Don Slater started Donald H. Slater construction. After trying his hand as a truck driver, apple farmer and high school teacher, Don found his niche as a general building contractor. He built hundreds of homes and light commercial buildings in the North State. Don’s integrity and attention to detail was the foundation that Slater & Son was built on.

Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Sanctuary
The Kirshner Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a remarkable variety of non-releasable, endangered, and exotic wild animals.Each animal is housed in an enclosure that far exceeds state and federal regulations. To promote awareness on a local scale, the Kirshner Wildlife Sanctuary houses a variety of species, including representatives from all around the globe.
Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Sanctuary donates VIP guest passes as prizes for the Walk4Water participants doing the Pledge Program. With these passes, a family or small group can go on a guided tour, and have their photo taken with one of the animals.
lundberg family farms
Lundberg Family Farms, another local company, have supported the water walk by providing their healthy Rice Chips. Water Walkers have enjoyed the Rice Chips that Lundberg Family Farms has provided. Yum! Be sure to buy a bag of chips when you shop as a way to say thanks to the Lundberg family for their generosity.

C&M Automotive provides a wide variety of services and repairs, including brake jobs, alignments, tire rotations, oil changes, smog inspections, heating and cooling services, “check engine light” diagnosis, engine and transmission repair and timing belt service.

Sheraton Real Estate Management
I will never forget when Diane Ruby, co-owner of Sheraton Real Estate Management with her husband Larry Ruby, saw a video of BTG’S work in Africa. She began to cry and said, “Of course, we will support BTG.” They began supporting Bridging the Gap4Water in 2014.
We were saddened when Diane Ruby, A woman of goodness, was killed in a cycling accident this year(2020).

Mountain Sports donates yearly to the W4W by donating a nice prize such as a day pack. They also give us space in their shop to sell our hand-crafted necklaces from Uganda.
