8th annual christmas boutique
Bridging the Gap Market gave many shoppers the opportunity to double the goodness when they shopped. The Eighth Annual Christmas Boutique raised $4,000, and another $2,000 was raised after the Christmas Boutique by continued sales at Farmers Market, Beatniks, Cal Java, and our home. Your shopping gave 171 Africans clean water, sanitation, and training in hygiene.
bike4water
Our East Coast Ride from Portland, Maine to Key West, Florida raised $17,370, which will give clean water to 476 Africans for life. What a privilege to do something we love to do for good. The journey and results of the ride inspires us to ride again. Thanks for all your support.
annie b’s drive 2013
I want to thank all the donors that together gave $15,519. Ron Reed was sent $6,480 for two water projects in Tanzania and $7,522 for a bore hole went to Destiny Women. It is so rewarding to see what a group of people working together can do.
a gift given to world vision
Bridging the Gap had the honor of donating $6,000 to World Vision in September via Alan Shiffer, a representative from World Vision. This money will be used in Zambia, Africa for safe water projects.
7th annual appreciation dinner
Many came to enjoy the 7th Annual Appreciation Dinner hosted by Grant and Shirley Adams. Volunteers and donors are the key to the work of providing clean water to our developing countries. They have helped to give over 16,000 Africans clean water, sanitation and training in hygiene. There is nothing that we like to do more than to honor those who are making such a difference.
5th annual walk4water
The 5th Annual Walk4Water was an Inspirational Day: Our goals were met, the weather was perfect, all the volunteers put their hearts and souls into the day, Inspire Choir was refreshing, Corporate Sponsors treated us in so many ways, and all the walkers created a perfect day. We gave $12,000 to World Vision, which will be matched, $6,000 to Seeds of Hope International Partnership, $3,000 to Lifewater International, and $3,000 to Chikumbuso, which will be matched. With the matches, the total came to $39,000 and gave 1,114 Africans clean water for life.
