2nd annual christmas boutique
The 2nd Annual Boutique was a festive and social event. A local harpist added a very special touch. Bridging The Gap raised $2,120- $1,000 more than last year.

A check has been mailed for $30,000 to World Vision for the West Africa Water Initiative. $27,479 was raised on the Coast To Coast Ride. The remaining $3,500 was from previous gifts. The $30,000 will be matched by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.

Today, $3,095 was mailed to Jungle Masters for a well drill and a well in Santa Rita de Castilla on the Rio Maranon, which feeds the Amazon River. Along the Amazon the primary cause of illness is water borne parasites and bacteria. The drill will be able to be taken to villages throughout the area. The cost of the individual well is $500.
uganda orphans fund, april 20th, 2007
$2,000 was mailed to the Uganda Orphans Fund for two bore holes at newly built orphanages in Uganda. All of your donations were matched. Thank you for your faithful giving!

Before we move into the New Year, let's look back to see what we have done as a team. February 2nd will be Bridging The Gap's 1st anniversary, and in our first year we have raised $36,838. The last $12,000 was matched by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, which brings our total to $48,838. This was all possible through donations and sales. There are many healthy children because of you. You're beyond generous and I'm beyond grateful.

$12,000 raised by Bridging The Gap was matched by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, thus $24,000 has been given to World Vision for water systems in the country of Mali. Mali is one of the ten poorest nations in the world.
