17th Annual Walk4Water
April 12, 2025 @ 8:30 a.M.
One Mile Recreation Area, Bidwell Park
Women and girls in developing countries spend an estimated 200 million hours EVERY DAY, walking an average of 3.7 miles, to haul an average of 40 pounds of water home to their families. This water is often contaminated with disease causing bacteria. You can help bring an end to their long walks!
Bring your own bucket to carry on a 2K or 5K walk. There will be educational stations about the great need for clean water globally and water conservation locally. We will be filling our water buckets at the midpoint and carrying filled buckets to complete the course.
Walk4Water Highlights:
- Assortment of prizes
- Awards given to the top six pledge participants
- Bridging the Gap Market
- Educational stations; fun and informative for everyone
- International Venues
- Nutritious Snacks
- Raffle Table
- Silent Auction
We will walk rain or shine...because they do.
