2019 walk4water

Wow, what can I say. I was overwhelmed by all the enthusiasm of every walker and volunteer that was present at the 11th Annual W4W, even though it was raining and the river was raging. A woman came up to me and showed me a photo of her daughter away at college, where she is studying engineering and has a goal of being involved with Engineers Without Borders to provide clean water to developing countries. As a child and through her high school years she had been a participant in the W4W, and it helped her decide what she wants to do in the future. One of our goals is to inspire young people to be involved in meeting global needs, and we are so happy to see that happening.
