2014 walk4water

The community of Chico and friends worked together to make the day perfect. Our theme for our 6th Annual Walk4Water season was a quote from Helen Keller. “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Over a hundred volunteers prepared the course, so that walkers could get a feel of what it would be like to walk for water instead of turning on the tap. Generous walkers, corporate sponsors, and friends made it possible to give $36,000 to our thirsty world. Four of our partners, Destiny Women, Lifewater International, Seeds of Hope, and World Vision received $9,000 each. World Vision and LifeWater will match their donation, bringing the total to $45,000.
