2019

debi wineroth

BTG loves having new volunteers come our way.  Three weeks ago Debi Wineroth started volunteering 2 hours a week.  She is a delight.  I give her a job and she gets it done.  This week she is hanging posters all over town for the Christmas Boutique.

I just want to thank the many volunteers for taking care of everything at BTG while I was gone this summer.  You’re the Best!

Whether you volunteer, give, shop or walk, you are changing lives in developing countries.  BTG is forever grateful for each one of you.

days for girls

Martha Keresey and her team sew and assemble DFG menstrual kits. If you want to volunteer your talent and time, contact Martha Keresey by phoning 530-345-3479. I will be delivering the kits to young women in Uganda this summer, which will allow them to go to school during their menstrual cycle.

Giovanna Vera

Giovanna Vera has volunteered for BTG for the last 7 years. Her computer knowledge has been such an asset to our program. We are forever grateful for her expertise. Many of you have met her at the the W4W Educational Stations through the years. This month we celebrated her graduation from CSU, Chico with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a focus in water resources. She currently works on the Oroville Spillways Recovery Project, and will continue to work there this summer and volunteer for BTG.

Liz Sperber

Thank you, Liz Sperber, for 10 years of volunteering at Bridging the Gap by Giving (BTG). Liz is active in many aspects of BTG: Corporate Sponsorships, new ideas, encouragement, merchandising at Cal Java, BTG Market ordering, and more. She volunteers four hours a week and travels with me to gift shows.

Jamie Happ

Jamie Happ started as a young college girl 13 years ago volunteering for BTG. Jaime is now a mom of 4 beautiful girls, and a school teacher at Butte Core. She and her family recently lost their home in the Camp Fire. Jaimie has been involved in many different roles: Designing our first news letter, being a sign carrier for the W4W, hosting the W4W’S Dump Station with her classroom, and most of all a being a supporter and encouragement to me.

Kendra & Joe Perry

This is Kendra Perry, a new volunteer to BTG market. Kendra and her husband, Joe, started off by doing a Christmas Pop-Up at Beatniks, which was a huge success. Her goal is to do 6 Pop-Ups in 2019, so if you have a business, church, or service group that would like to host one, call 530-342-5746 to make arrangements.
